Shady Numbers

Many canvases have shaded areas that are stitched in simple stitches that
lend themselves to easy transitions from one thread to the next, either as a
different shade of the color, a blend of two thread colors, or both.

This project utilizes shading in a pattern, changing threads at intervals
to give a more subtle and textured look.  Each number is stitched using
five shades of a color, moving their positions from light to dark
in the same pattern to "shade" the stitched number.
A pattern is also included for the number "zero".
